The Millennial movement grew out of a belief that Christ will establish a thousand year reign of the saints before the last judgment happens. A time of supernatural peace and abundance on earth will prevail in that time. The passage of time has undone the hopes of many but there is confidence that the time is about to arrive. Fear and hopes are powerful motivating forces. Over the centuries many groups have formed and disappeared. The Millennial viewpoint is expressed in many traditional Christian bodies. There is special emphasis in the churches noted below.
