|Guru (teacher) Nanak, born in 1469 c.e. in the Punjab of India, received a vision from
God showing a path separate from Hinduism and Islam. God, the unknowable Great Teacher,
is found in the ten human Gurus of Sikhi. Gudwaras (temples) are seen
